At midnight on July 14 the fiesta officially comes to an end with the “Pobre de Mi” celebrations. Thousands of people gather for the farewell on the Plaza Consistorial, where everything began with the Txupinazo, 8 days earlier.
Pobre de Mi, is arguably the most lovely, reflective evening: beautiful fireworks, all people hold candles and sing the traditonal song:
“Pobre de Mi, Pobe de Mi, que se han acabado las fiestas, de San Fermín."
(Poor me, poor me, for the fiesta of San Fermín has come to a close).
